This project required conducting an in-depth interview, researching the topic, and creating a visually engaging and informative script. Concept & Inspiration
The inspiration for this piece stemmed from the relevance of financial stability in everyday life and the heightened concerns surrounding recent banking collapses. The goal was to make an intimidating topic accessible by combining clear reporting, expert insights, and compelling visuals. Drawing from real-world events and interviews, the package sought to engage viewers while educating them on the ripple effects of the banking crisis.
Key Features of the News Package
Interview: Conducted an interview with Joseph Cowan, Board Member of Iroquois Federal Bank, to gain expert insights on the global implications of the crisis.
Visual Elements: Included dynamic visuals such as footage of customers at banks, stock market trends, and symbolic imagery like piggy banks and ATMs to contextualize the story.
Voiceovers and On-Camera Reporting: Combined professional voiceovers with on-camera segments to guide the audience through the narrative.
Scriptwriting: Crafted a comprehensive script, balancing emotional resonance with factual accuracy, ensuring the complex topic remained relatable and digestible for viewers.
Execution
The news package was developed with a structured approach:
